Prelude is a "self-learning", i.e. teachable chatbot. It does not depend on any pre-fabricated knowledge. Prelude learns while chatting with you and applies a stunning algorithm to enable it to chose a response she herself "thinks" appropriate. Prelude can be applied to any language and will quickly gain conversational skills as its memory expands. In 2005 Prelude won the 3rd prize at the international contest "Chatterbox Challenge" scoring high as being one of the best self-learning chatbots in the world.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

During a chat prelude will analyze all new input and eventually respond. A number of possible responses is "thought over": A nuance of free will to interfere - this makes the program chose one among all those possible answers - et voilà! Terminatrix is born...

Some additional info: + The bigger your memory file the greater and eventually more refined Preludes choice will be. + Beginning with an empty memory file starts soon to be fun, as Prelude picks up conversational bits and pieces earlier than other zero-knowledge bots do. + If no appropriate answer was found, Prelude will repeat the user's input (like a child). So what does it cost? Prelude started out as a personal research project. This is why we still offer a free community open source version.
